Twenty years. One question.
I got into cybersecurity the same way most of us did. Something broke. I wanted to understand why. What kept me here for two decades was a different question: who actually pays when it breaks?
The answer is never just "the company." It's the pension holder whose retirement got harvested. The patient whose records got leaked. The teenager on the other side of the world being forced to run the scam. Every risk register I've ever built comes back to that.
How I Lead
Technical enough for the architects. Plainspoken enough for the board.
I've spent my career on the seam between the people building the systems and the people making the calls. That's where most security programs actually fail. Not in the code. In the translation.
My work is to close that gap. On post-quantum cryptography. On AI risk. On the boring, unglamorous plumbing of PKI and key management that quietly holds the whole enterprise together. When the translation works, the decisions get better. And people get protected.
What I'm Watching
Three shifts that will define the next decade.
Quantum computing will break the cryptography running the global economy. Agentic AI will be the most consequential insider-threat problem in enterprise history. And the human internet is being weaponized against the most vulnerable people alive.
These are not separate stories. They are the same story about who gets to decide what technology does to the rest of us. I write and speak so that leaders can see it before it's too late to steer.

A PhD, an MBA, an MS. A peer-reviewed publication record on how leaders drive change under pressure. Twenty years running enterprise security programs at scale. I'm having selective conversations about VP, Deputy CISO, CISO, Head of Quantum, Head of AI Security, and Chief Innovation Officer roles, primarily in financial services and aerospace and defense. Also open to board and advisory seats where a scientist-executive perspective on emerging risk is genuinely useful.
